Dr. Githang’a holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate Degree in Physical and Health Education from Kenyatta University. Her research areas focuses on amelioration of the quality of life of the elderly through exercise to manage stress, sleep quality and hypertension. The study emphasizes on the use of Progressive Muscle Relaxation Exercise and Sleep environment modification in the management of blood pressure, sleep quality and stress levels among senior citizens in the homes for the aged.
