On 7th March 2025, the Department of Physical Education, Exercise, and Sport Science at Kenyatta University hosted a special retirement celebration in honor of Professor Mike Boit and Ms. Njoki, our esteemed Office Assistant. The event was a heartfelt tribute to their years of dedicated service, leadership, and invaluable contributions to the department and the broader academic and sports community.
The occasion was graced by Prof. James Kungu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), alongside distinguished guests including Prof. Janet Kamenju from the University of Nairobi, Prof. Vincent Onywera, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation, and Outreach) at KCA University, and Prof. Elijah Gitonga from the Department of Recreation and Sports Management. Faculty members, staff, and students gathered to celebrate the remarkable careers of Prof. Boit and Ms. Njoki, reflecting on their lasting impact and legacy. We extend our deepest appreciation to Prof. Boit and Ms. Njoki for their unwavering commitment and wish them a fulfilling and joyful retirement. Their contributions will be remembered and cherished for years to come.
