At Kenyatta University's Department of Physical Education, Exercise, and Sports Science, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every student can thrive. Emphasizing our dedication to this cause, we are proud to highlight a special session led by our esteemed lecturer, Dr. Jane, on sitting volleyball—an adaptive sport designed to include individuals with physical disabilities.

In this engaging session, Dr. Jane introduced our students to the fundamentals of sitting volleyball, a variant of the game where players compete while seated, making it accessible and enjoyable for individuals with varying physical abilities. This initiative is part of our broader commitment to disability awareness and inclusivity in sports education.

Through Dr. Jane's expert guidance, students not only learned the rules and techniques of sitting volleyball but also gained a deeper understanding of the importance of adaptive sports in promoting equality and inclusion in physical activities. The session was not just about learning a new sport; it was an eye-opening experience that encouraged students to think inclusively and recognize the potential in every individual, regardless of physical ability.

This initiative is a testament to Kenyatta University's ongoing efforts to integrate inclusive practices into our curriculum and campus culture. We believe that education extends beyond traditional boundaries and must encompass the values of empathy, inclusivity, and respect for diversity.

Join us in celebrating the spirit of inclusivity and the empowering message behind Dr. Jane's sitting volleyball session. Together, we can make a difference in promoting an inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to engage, participate, and excel.
