About Us
The Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology is one of the twenty three (23) Departments in the School of Health Sciences. It was established in April 2020 following a split of from the department of Human Pathology under the former School of Medicine.
The department offers foundational pre-clinical courses that are a ciritical component of the training of students in the degree programmes of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Public Health, Bachelor of  Pharmacy, and Bachelor of Science in Community Health.
