About Us
Clinical Radiology and Imaging Services Department is one of the 15 departments in the School of Medicine. It was previously a section housed in the department of Surgery and Orthopaedics until April 2020. The department is dedicated to training and mentoring Medical Students in the area of Diagnostic Radiology.
Our main goal is to ensure that our students are able to request for the appropriate imaging investigations and acquire knowledge and skills on acquisition and interpretation of the various radiological imaging modalities in order to safely use ionizing and non-ionizing radiation in their medical practice as Doctors.
We train level 4 and 5 MBChB Medical students and for their Clinical Radiological Application rotations our partner teaching hospitals are Kiambu and Mama Lucy Kibaki Level  5 hospitals. For their elective terms, our students have been able to go to Local, Regional and International hospitals with excellent feedback reports.
FUTURE PROJECTIONS
The department aspires to introduce a Higher Diploma Course in Sonography and Masters of Medicine Degree in Diagnostic Radiology.
