The admission requirements for admission to the certificate in hearing health (hearing instrumentalist) are specified as below:

 Entry Requirement

1. Candidates wishing to study for the Certificate in Hearing Health (Hearing Instrumentalist) shall have obtained a mean grade of at least C- (Minus) at KCSE and passed subject clusters as indicated or their equivalents;

 

English or Kiswahili/Kenyan sign language C (Plain)

BiologyC (Plain)

Mathematics or Physics C- (Minus)

 

2.Candidates with disabilities shall have obtained a mean grade of at least D+ (Plus) at KCSE and passed subject clusters as indicated or their equivalents

 

English or Kiswahili/Kenyan sign language C- (Minus)

Biology  C- (Minus)

Mathematics or Physics D+ (Plus)

 

Mode and duration of study

The program shall be offered in the following mode:

  • Face-to-face (full-time)
  • Blended

  Duration1 year
