We are excited to share the wonderful experience from the recent visit of St. Jude Girls to our department's gym, an event that not only showcased our state-of-the-art facilities but also aimed at inspiring young minds about the vast opportunities in the field of physical education and sports sciences.

The visit was a vibrant exchange of enthusiasm and knowledge, as the girls from St. Jude explored the various aspects of our gym, learning about the different career paths within sports science, fitness, and physical education. The event was designed to enlighten and motivate these young students, demonstrating how a passion for sports and fitness can translate into rewarding professional avenues.

The marketing and publicity component has been developed to further establish the unique identity of the department in relation to other academic institutes, government sporting organizations such as Kenya Academy of Sports (KAS), Physical Education, and Exercise Studies and Sport Science alumina, and to foster an attitude that values and perceptions of these target audiences.

 

Our marketing component actively markets to academics and policymakers the department's expertise and the relevance of its curricula in the fields of teaching, contextual learning, professional development, and knowledge about physical activities and exercise in and out of Physical Education class; Exercise Science; Exercise Physiology and sports in Sport Science and coaching in PE lessons to Continues education programme (CEP) students and regular students who are training to be teachers. The program strives to interact with faculty, faculty candidates, undergraduate and graduate students, potential donors, external people, pre-university PE teachers and coaches, and governmental employees. Accomplishing these goals advances our vision of being a leading Physical Education, Exercise and Sports department not only in Kenya but globally in innovative teaching, research, and the provision of services to the community.
