The school has also been very active in community work especially with the outbreak of Covid 19. The students have managed to visit three secondary schools in Murang’a namely; Gatiiguru, St. Augustine and Githambo mixed school.

In the Schools they discussed with the students about Covid 19 in terms of mode of spread, signs and symptoms, preventive measures and the importance of vaccination. They also tackled very pertinent issues with adolescences which included teenage reproductive health, drug addiction and teenage developmental milestones. The students also were able to visit the community at Ndunyu Chege health center,

where they met the community health workers and trained them on issues affecting the community in order for them to disseminate the same to the community. These included prevention and management of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and high pretension which are rampant in the area and also Covid19 which was an area of interest due to the outbreak. They were able to explain the importance of Covid 19 vaccination which many community members had myths about.

In terms of involvement with the stake holders two members of the school attended a meeting held by deferent departments in the ministry of health and were involved in preparation of guidelines in emergency obstetrics and Newborn care and guidelines in management of pediatrics.
